Clearing the Air in Communities of Color Conference

Our “Clearing the Air in Communities of Color” conference is a groundbreaking initiative focused on addressing the unique challenges faced by communities of color in relation to tobacco use. Hate the Vape

“Hate the Vape” is an innovative counter tobacco vaping program specifically designed to empower and educate young individuals about the risks and consequences associated with vaping. Targeting the youth demographic aged 13 to 18, the program aims to combat the alarming rise in tobacco vaping among teenagers and promote healthier lifestyle choices. The program adopts a multi-faceted approach to engage and inform young individuals about the dangers of tobacco vaping. It utilizes interactive workshops, educational campaigns, and peer-to-peer mentoring to foster a sense of responsibility and resilience among participants. These initiatives are backed by the latest scientific research, testimonies from ex-vapers, and credible health professionals, providing comprehensive and accurate information about the risks and potential addiction linked to tobacco vaping.

Our World No Tobacco Day activity is an impactful initiative that raises global awareness about the hazards of tobacco use. NO MENTHOL SUNDAY

MISRGO shares the vision of The Center for Black Health & Equity (CBHQ) of a world where all people of African descent can obtain optimal health outcomes and overcome the detrimental impact tobacco has on their communities. We proudly partner with CBHQ to sponsor events in recognition of No Menthol Sunday. Recognized the third Sunday of each May, No Menthol Sunday is an initiative that encourages faith leaders to dedicate this day to educating congregants about smoking, vaping and the role of menthol and other flavors in tobacco addiction-all while encouraging prevention and cessation.
